The challenge
Doon Tiles, a tiles manufacturer and distributor based in Dehradun, manages a wide and complex product catalogue — floor tiles, wall tiles, vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles, outdoor pavers, mosaic sheets, and more — each available in multiple sizes, finishes, textures, and batch lots. Managing this across handwritten registers and Excel spreadsheets meant stock discrepancies were frequent, overselling happened regularly, and the owner had no reliable way to know what was actually available at any given moment. Write Upright Digital built a fully custom inventory management system from the ground up — tailored precisely to how a tiles manufacturer actually operates.

What we designed
Tile categories
Floor tiles, wall tiles, vitrified tiles, ceramic tiles, outdoor pavers, mosaic sheets, elevation tiles, and anti-skid tiles — each as a separate trackable category.
Size variants
Each tile type available in multiple standard sizes — 2x2 ft, 4x4 ft, 24x24 in, 12x24 in, and custom cuts — tracked as individual stock units within the same product family.
Finish & texture
Glossy, matte, satin, rustic, polished, and rough-textured finishes tracked as separate variants — so a 24x24 glossy and a 24x24 matte are never confused in dispatch.
Owner dashboard
Full visibility — live stock levels, today's dispatches, outstanding payments, low-stock alerts, top-selling SKUs, and total inventory value. Desktop and mobile browser.
Staff / godown access
Restricted login for warehouse staff — stock-in and stock-out only, no financials or pricing. Every entry timestamped and attributed.
Sales staff access
Live stock checks, customer orders, and dispatch challans — without modifying stock entries directly.
Activity log
Full audit trail of every action — who logged what stock, when orders were created and dispatched, and any edits.
